Stuttgart have won the race to sign Hoffenheim’s highly-rated striker Vedad Ibisevic, ahead of Premier League interest from Blackburn and Everton. The English clubs had been tracking the Bosnian front-man for a number of months only for Hoffenheim to agree a somewhat surprising 5million Euro deal with Bundesliga rivals Stuttgart.

The 27-year old has scored over 50 goals in his five years at Hoffenheim, scoring five goals in the club’s stuttering 2011/12 campaign. His exit will strike a big blow to the club, especially as it is highly possible that Stuttgart and Hoffenheim could yet end up in a relegation battle together. Those following the Bundesliga betting need to remember this.

The two clubs are separated by just a single point, only five points ahead of the relegation zone as the season heads towards the business half of proceedings. There is a very real possibility that Ibisevic could come back to haunt Hoffenheim and that will be the main worry of the fans.

That’s certainly the biggest issue Hoffenheim investor Dietmar Hopp had about the deal when speaking last week before the transfer was finalised.
“I am against selling Vedad Ibisevic.”

“This would be too big a risk. We need him in our colours in the second phase of the Bundesliga campaign,” added Hopp.

“Letting him go would be a certain weakening of our strength. We are actually too close to the relegation zone.”

It remains to be seen whether or not Hoffenheim will have time to replace Ibisevic before the transfer window closes, and more so as to whether or not any possible replacement could do the same job as the Bosnian and with as much effectiveness. Fans of Betting tips should bear this in mind.

Either way, Stuttgart will be well aware that they have secured a proven goal-scorer, and one which could yet turn their disappointing season around and maintain their place in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich’s hopes of securing Arjen Robben to a new contract were given a boost, after the winger admitted he would be interested in discussing a new deal with the Bundesliga leaders. The Dutchman’s current deal expires in 2013 and there had been fears the former Chelsea forward could be heading out of the club in the summer.

That doesn’t appear to be the case, however, and Robben has revealed he is relaxed over his future, insisting he would be keen on extending his three-year spell at the Allianz Arena. People following the Bundesliga betting should bear this in mind.

“I have always said I’m really, really enjoying my spell at this club. I have a superb relationship with everyone at Bayern Munich and I am sure the club is aware of how my thoughts are.”

“Actually that is no priority, but there will definitely be some talking. Maybe not in January, February or March.”

“But I am fully sure the club will not wait to do so until I am reaching my final year of contract.”

The club would hate to lose Robben, a player who has been scintillating for Bayern since joining from Real Madrid in 2009, and will be hoping to agree a new deal, as soon as possible. Anyone looking for online betting tips needs to remember this.

The winger has been restricted to a bit-part role this season, with a niggling pelvic problem plaguing Robben since the summer. The club have managed to push on without their star-man, however, and sit atop the Bundesliga table, with a three-point lead from second place Borussia Dortmund.

The 27-year old has managed to get himself back to match fitness and will now be able to assist the club in their battle to reclaim the title from Dortmund. The second-half of the season promises to be a classic in the race for the title and Robben’s influence could well prove pivotal for Bayern.

Tottenham eased to a comfortable 4-0 victory against Shamrock Rovers in their final Europa League Group A match; a victory that proved academic as the much-changed Premiership side bowed out of the competition.

Harry Redknapp’s men went into the match knowing only a PAOK Salonika victory against Rubin Kazan would give them the chance of securing their place in the last-32, providing they saw off the Irish champions. Those following the online Europa League odds will have known it was a tough task.

By half-time in both matches and it looked good for the Premiership side in the bid to progress out of the group stage, with PAOK leading their Russian opponents 1-0 and Spurs romping home against Shamrock; goals from Steven Pienaar, Andros Townsend and Jermain Defoe giving the visitors a commanding 3-0 lead by the break.

Young winger Townsend was a threat to the Irish side throughout the match and thoroughly deserved his goal. By the time substitute Harry Kane added some gloss to the result, with a late goal to make it 4-0 to Spurs, Rubin Kazan had levelled their match against PAOK to secure their place at the Londoners expense – a disappointing result for a team that were very much favourites to win the group.

Early defeats in the group campaign against Rubin and PAOK proved decisive to Spurs’ hopes, although this may be a blessing in disguise for Redknapp’s hopes of challenging for a place back in the Champions League, and possibly even the Premiership title this season.

A.C. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says the club would only consider signing a striker on-loan in January after Chelsea duo Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba were recommended to the club by former boss Carlo Ancelotti. This could have an effect on how some Bet on soccer games.

Ancelotti managed the pair for two years while in charge at Stamford Bridge and told reporters on Monday that he believed the pair would be perfect additions to the Rossoneri squad.

The experienced strike duo are both out of contract at the end of the season and Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has stated that he won’t be selling wither player in the January transfer window.

The Milanese team are thought to be keen to make a signing in the new year after striker Antonio Cassano was ruled out for several months following heart surgery.

Those interested in Soccer betting tips might want to note that Galliani says he admires both players but has played down any talk of his club of them signing either of them in the winter transfer window.

Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “Ancelotti has suggested we take Anelka or Drogba? Ancelotti understands football. Perhaps we will take them both!

“But seriously it is not certain that we’ll take someone in January and, eventually, it would be a loan because I promised to keep a place for Cassano.

“Anelka is a major player but I have been in love with Drogba since he played in Marseille.”

Rumours have also persisted that Milan could make a bid for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli after the controversial forward said he may consider a move back to Italy. Balotelli used to play for city rivals Internazionale but has stated that he would like to play for A.C. who he supported as a boy but this has also been ruled out by the 67-year-old.

Galliani added: “Right now I think it is impossible for any Italian team to think about Balotelli. He has only sympathy for our colours.”

Rio Ferdinand has been left out of Fabio Capello’s England line up once again for the friendly with Spain ahead of Euro 2012, and it is not a promising sign for Rio who will be desperate to be on the plane to Poland and Ukraine come June, with your gambling guardian odds tipping him not to be in the squad in June!

In all fairness, I think Sir Alex probably made Fabio’s mind up over Rio when he said he doesn’t have the pace he once had. It has been very difficult for Ferdinand because I don’t think he’s been 100 per cent fit for a while which has affected his form! Once he is fit, then he still has enough pace to play for England and his experience will be crucial, but between now and the end of the season, he needs to have a consistent run in the United starting line up which is something he hasn’t had for a long tome now!. He can’t seem to shake off his niggling injury which is probably more of a concern to Capello and Ferguson, and this is why he has lost his sharpness. But Spain, who are sportsbook betting guides favorites for the tournament, have some very quick players and you risk opening yourselves up to that if Terry and Ferdinand are in the same team.

A lot of people are writing him off, and that is football. As soon as a great player starts to play below his very best people are quick to say he his past it! But don’t write him off just yet. Look at Frank Lampard… the footballing world and the English media especially, wrote him off when he was left out of the England and Chelsea starting line ups at the beginning of the season, but he has since bounced back and has been one of Chelsea’s main men all season, scoring their goals and starting all of their games. Form wise, he should even regain a starting place for England on Saturday!

Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapttaoni has announced his 26-man squad ahead of his side’s Euro 2012 play-off against Estonia.

Skipper Robbie Keane is included despite injury concerns over an Achilles problem he picked up in last month’s victory over Armenia in an area which could cause major headaches for the Italian coach.

Keane’s fellow forward Kevin Doyle is suspended for the first leg of the tie while Shane Long, who has also been included in the squad despite being expected to miss the match after picking up a knee injury in his club West Brom’s 2-1 victory over local rivals Aston Villa last Saturday. Those looking at soccer betting tips will be wondering if he will be fit.

Despite the doubts surrounding his striking options, Trapattoni has once again left out Newcastle’s Leon Best and Celtic forward Anthony Stokes.

Manchester United’s Darron Gibson has been included in the squad while Paul McShane is also set to feature after missing out on recent matches while both Kevin Foley and Kevin Kilbane have both missed out.

The Republic travel to Estonia for the first leg of the play-off on Friday 11th November before hosting their Eastern European opponents at the Aviva Stadium four days later with the winners earning a place in next summer’s European Championship finals in Ukraine and Poland. People who bet on soccer games should bear this in mind.

Many predict the Irish to qualify comfortably but Trapattoni says his side cannot fall foul of complacency.

“There is no room for complacency as we prepare for our two games next month,” said Trapattoni.

“We will remember that Estonia have as much right to be in the play-off as ourselves.

“They have had some very good results in their group beating Serbia and Slovenia. They also caused Italy a lot of problems. These games will be a huge challenge for us, and we must maintain the correct mentality from start to finish.”

David Beckham is coming to the end of his LA Galaxy deal as he looks set to play his last few games for the MLS club, but where will his next move be?

David Beckham is coming to the end of his LA Galaxy deal as he looks set to play his last few games for the MLS club.
Beckham has made it no secret that he is desperate to be a part of the GB team at the London Olympics next summer and with GB manager Stuart Pearce insisting that he will pick his squad based on form, it seems that Bekham’s next career move is crucial.

At 36 Beckham could be forgiven for winding his career down and settling for another couple of years in the MLS, but in typical David Beckham style, I’m pretty sure that he will have one more major project left in his boots before he hangs them up for good, and it will be a project that will help his cause for a place in the GB team!

He certainly isn’t short of offers with the likes of QPR and Tottenham expressing their interest, as well as Leicester City and of course his current club LA Galaxy.

But for me, despite believing that Beckham can still play a major role in the Premier League, I think his final project will be in Paris and this where the Sportsbook betting offers see him at too!

It’s another culture and another brand of football for Beckham to conquer both as a player and a brand! His old pal from AC Milan who is currently director of football at Paris St Germain has expressed how important Beckham could be to the PSG revolution after they have recently been taken over by Qatar Sports Investments.

The lure of the Premier League will be difficult for him to turn down, but like Beckham said him self, I cant imagine him playing for any other club apart from Manchester United, and with the amount of Gambling betting offers on the matter I think this will be the case!

The PSG offer will no doubt be as lucrative as his current deal at LA Galaxy, and I think the context of the move, with Beckham being a big part of the PSG revolution will be all too attractive for Becks to turn down.

For those critics who are writing Beckham off, I would say that Beckham has always answered those critics on the football pitch, and this time will be no different! He is still passionate and professional about the game, and his quality and fitness is still there. When Alex Ferguson is recorded as saying he would welcome back Beckham to Manchester United, you know that he still has plenty to offer the game!

In recent years England haven’t been the most successful team in terms of winning trophies in the World Cup, or the Euro Cup respectively. The last, and only time England won the World Cup was back in 1966, and they’ve never managed to acquire the European trophy.

Fabio Capello – England’s current manager – came under scrutiny all throughout the previous international competition. Most England fans were annoyed at Capello’s apparent lack of interest. But most of all, the fans were disgruntled by his absence of emotion on the touchline, and his inability to fluently speak the English language.

But thankfully, it’s Capello’s last competition in charge of England. Most fans will be glad to see the back of him, with most supporters begging for the current Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp to take the managerial reigns for the English national side.

Man United Bowling

England’s current team is a solid one; their attack, midfield, and defense have the ability to cope with any opponents in the forthcoming Euro 2012 tournament. The English national side’s best attacker has to be Wayne Rooney. His sublime strength, and his amazing ability to pass the ball mean he will be crucial for England, just as he is when you see Manchester United Bowling over their opponents.

The best midfielder in the current English national squad has to be Ashley Young. What excites me most about Young is his lightning fast pace, and his fantastic crossing capabilities. Young is sure to trouble any opposing team in Euro 2012. Anyone looking at the Euro 2012 betting should remember this.

For me, England’s most talented defender has to be Manchester United’s Phil Jones. Although Jones is still a youngster, he definitely has the correct skills to become one of the best defenders in the world in the near future. So, can England win Euro 2012? The answer is yes. They’ve got a fantastic team and are bound to do well in the tournament. If they don’t win Euro 2012, the least they can accept is a place in the semi-finals.

Arsene Wenger has come under scrutiny in recent times due to his supposed lack of ambition for the highly prestigious London club. The loss of their intelligent playmaker – Cesc Fabregas – could be a determining factor in terms of where they will finish in the Premier League and their chances of dominating in the Champions League. Fabregas transferred to his boyhood club Barcelona for a transfer fee thought to be in and around the region of £35 million. Another blow to Arsenal’s side is the loss of French internationals Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy to Premiership rivals Manchester City. Nasri went to City for a fee of £23 million and Clichy went for a transfer sum of £7 million. What surprised me is that after gaining £65 million for 3 players, it seemed as if Wenger was unwilling to acquire the signatures of any more players in the 2011-12 summer transfer window. Anyone placing a Champions League bet will know their squad seemed thin.

But during deadline day Wenger bowed down to the fans demand and purchased the talents of Mikel Arteta from fellow Premiership club Everton, Per Mertesacker from Werder Bremen, and Andre Santos from Fenerbahce. Although these particular signings could turn out to be prosperous, I still feel as if Arsenal should be aiming a little higher if they want to compete in the European Cup. One player that will be vital in any success Arsenal have in the Champions League is Gervinho. The Ivory Coast international was bought from French outfit Lille back in July and looks to have settled early in his Arsenal career and will certainly cause trouble for any opposition. People looking to bet on Champions League winner should remember this.

Arsenal currently sit second in Group F after a 1 – 1 draw against German side Borussia Dortmund. Wenger’s men will have to improve their performances if they want to reach the latter stages of the highly reputable tournament. In my Eyes Arsenal will finish second in their group to Marseille and will be knocked out in the knockout phase by a stronger opponent.

Although Fabio Capello will be taking nothing for granted, he will no doubt be expecting his England side to make it through to Euro 2012. After all, with the side counted among the top seeds failing to navigate through a group, which although far from straightforward, holds no real footballing forces, would be considered a major disaster.

However, it is what happens after qualification which is more important in the eyes of fans. Despite not having won a major trophy since 1966, England supporters and the press always expect the side to challenge in international competitions, even though all the evidence, including the betfair euro 2012 betting, indicates they will struggle.

Admittedly, they underperformed in South Africa, failing to top a group which was considerably easier than they made it look. Deep down though, all England fans will know that even if the side had taken first spot ahead of the USA, things in the knockout stages wouldn’t have been much different. Ghana were far from pushovers and even if England had navigated their way past them, the skill of Holland, Spain or even Uruguay would have ended the Three Lions’ challenge sooner or later. Fans of Betfair International football betting will know this to be true.

And that’s where the problem lies for England – lack of skill. Although the manager is always held to blame for the side’s failings, it’s hard to see what much more anyone could do given the fact English players often struggle to hold on to the ball and complete simple passes.

England fans shouldn’t expect their side to win Euro 2012, but whether they heed this warning remains to be seen.
